N i g h t m a r e s .

I had the first one I've received in years the day before yesterday. It was really vivid and horrendous, so I woke up crying. Luckily, I was nightmare-free last night, and I hope it doesn't happen again any time soon.

C o s p l a y .

I've been invited into a cosplay group that contains quite a few of my close friends (and although they haven't officially voted me in yet, they're including me in their planning already, which is a pretty good sign. xD) I'm hoping I can go to ToraCon 2010 with them, but I have yet to ask my parents. I better get started on that...

The group is cosplaying Soul Eater the first day of the con, and Kuroshitsuji the second day. I have yet to really begin Kuro, but I'm definitely going to be involved in the Soul Eater cosplay because although I'm only on episode four of the anime, I'm really enjoying it so far. ~LuxLazuli and ~Leekaara seem to want me to cosplay as Death the Kid since they're in dire need of one, but I really don't feel I can pull it off, as much as I love the character to death (ahaha, unintentional mini-pun). However, ~Purple-shoes seems to think I would be a good Marie (even though I have no idea who she is yet) and cosplaying as her means I won't have to do any painful binding. I'm a D Cup, so imagine what I'll have to squeeze in. =__= Long story short, I'm not sure exactly who I'm going to cosplay as yet, and I'm going to wait until I watch more of Soul Eater to decide. I'll watch a lot more over Thanksgiving break. =]

T h a n k s g i v i n g .

My friend ~oOMoonlightMelodyOo posted the things she's thankful for in her journal today, and I think I'll follow suite.

Things I'm thankful for:

- My wonderful, amazing, epic, awesome, God-like (hehehe, Black Star~) friends. Seriously, guys. Without you, I would be nothing. Thank you for all you do, and for putting up with little-ol'-eccentric-and-hyper-girl-that-is-me-who-belongs-in-the-loony-bin. Thank you, Carly, for putting up with me petting you constantly. Thank you, Story, for not allowing my constant whining to bother you and cheery me up with your happiness. Thank you, Mallory, for helping me out of tough situations. Thank you, Elena, for talking with me every day in the classes we have together despite my constant obnoxious moaning. Thank you, Elyssa, for sticking with me for so long. Thank you, Gina, for being fun and making me feel special. And finally, just thank you all for being such -insert most epic adjective here- friends to me. <3

- My awesome family, although they're obnoxious and utterly annoying and disgusting at times. Without them, I couldn't live. And I may not show my affection for them all the time, but I do love them, and I hope they know that. <3

- My two remaining kitties, Coffee and Tia, who are like siblings to me; my leopard geckos, Lemon and Lime, who are staring at me with those cute little happy eyes every morning when I wake up; the birds who chirp outside my window when I'm feeling depressed; and even that pesky raccoon who shows up on our deck once in a while to steal from the bird feeders, because I just love being surrounded with all different kinds of wildlife. <3

- Art. The creation of beauty at my fingertips every time I hold a pencil to paper. Art is what makes my life worth while, and I don't know what I'd do without art and imagination. <3

- All the wonderful people I've met who have influenced my life online, whether it be on Neopets, Gaia Online, LiveJournal, the SArmy, or here on DeviantART. I love the internet because it aids in the fading of the lines that exist between social classes, age groups, and people of different cultures. I've learned so much from everyone I've met here, and I am truly thankful for that. <3

- The ability to learn, to go to school, to be with peers, and to be taught by the many wonderful teachers I've encountered in my life. My teachers, whether it be Mr. Marini and Mr. Burruto of eighth grade, Mrs. Tevels of last year, Mrs. Mitchell this year, or even my pastor, Dan (who also happens to be my next door neighbor and a good friend), have all influenced my life in positive ways and I want to sincerely thank them for that. <3

- Finally, I'm especially thankful for God. Without him, I am nothing. Without him, I would be hopeless, and I would still be the same horrible girl I was in the sixth grade. Without him, I would not be living in the first place. <3
